Inflation Reduction Act
The federal government offers a renewable energy tax credit for straight cool and heat pump installations that match Energy Star’s criteria. Homeowners who install eligible systems installed after January 2023 and before January 2024 will earn a 22% tax credit.
After the system installation, fill out the
IRS Form 5695
and submit it with your tax returns to receive the credit. You can also contact the IRS on
their website
or call 1-800-829-1040 if you have any questions.

Barbara Wapner1 StarPreferred a/c came with our newly built home so we used them. Despite ...(per Preferreds strong suggestions to install uv lights and halo air scrubbers )which we did to 3 units we NOW HAVE BLACK MOLD on our coils and units. We also had a service contract with preferred air and we are very diligent so we had service every 6 months . I also test insanely high for mycotoxin illness now with needing inhalers and detox. When I asked to speak with Donald O'Bryon Nicole said I field his calls and you won't speak to him unless I say ok. She then hung up on me twice. I called a different location and they will not answer my calls . beware !!!
Mr. O'bryon please call us not certain you know how your hired assistance are treating your customers. We live in a new community too and I've shared on our neighborhood app my experience seems I'm not alone
As of today March 4th we've hired a company to attempt to salvage our units and my health. This is what preferred Air considers a quality cleaning job !!!! And then when approached nicole lies

Fritz Fritz5 StarGreat company. As a plumber I know how hard it is to please people. This company came out just before the long holiday , my 10 year old ac was dead on arrival this company did absolutely everything possible to get me some cold air. I was told that my compressor was dead so I decided to buy a new ac, When I saw how nice they were I got a little suspicious and told the technician that I was going to wait until the next morning. They gave me a price to replace my ac and I called 3 other places for pricing and this company was very fair with the price. Now I have my brand new Lennox with 5 years labor warranty which no one else offered me that. My experience from the technician to the sales manager was very good and I highly recommend them. 5 stars for customer service, 5 stars for installation thank you.Saturday 9th September 2023
Nelson Baez5 StarIn today’s times, it is very difficult to find a company that can deliver five star service. Preferred Air Conditioning and Mechanical delivered Five Stars in every category.
My sales rep, Alex Rodrigues was by far the most professional, knowledgeable, caring, and understanding sales rep. I came across in my emergency, one week search to replace my A/C unit.
In just two days time he had a crew out to my home for install. That’s when lead installer, Frankie came into the picture. This was a Very difficult attic to install an air handler and Frankie came through with flying colors.
When I arrived at home after the install, I could not find one thing to complain about. Everything was clean, picked up and looked perfect.
I have personally remodeled my home, and I am currently a project manager for a construction company. I highly recommend Preferred Air Conditioning and Mechanical. Don’t forget to ask for Alex.Saturday 16th September 2023
Ryan Lukens1 Star0 stars. This company installed a Carrier unit in our new build per the builders. So I called them to schedule 6 month maintenance cleaning and inspections. I paid in advance. They came out the first time and it was surprisingly fast. They never set up the follow up appointment that I already paid for. So I followed up and had them come out regularly (every 6 months). The unit was cleaned 5 months ago ( now the unit is 2 years old) and we started having problems with the fan constantly staying on. I called them to come out because we were worried about the unit freezing up and losing AC with an infant in the house. They said the earliest appointment was in one week and it was not an emergency. So I called a different company and they came out that afternoon. When the new company took the front panel off they asked if we have ever had the unit cleaned or maintained. Black mold is growing all over our unit. The new service provider said there was no way this unit has ever been cleaned behind the front panel and it was disgusting. It is not Preferred Air fault that the fan stopped working correctly. It is Preferred Air’s fault for exposing my infant to black mold (see pictures below). When we called back the next day to complain to a manager, we spoke with Holly. HOLLY WAS VERY RUDE. Service manager Holly laughs at you and talks over you on the phone. She accused me of cursing at her empty the afternoon before because I said they were running a “shady” business. Holly, the service manager’s direct quote, “I’m nobody’s anything and I can talk to people how I want. I don’t care that I’m in customer service,” and then talked over me again. Kathy Fox5 StarFive stars from start to finish. Our AC went out on a Friday afternoon and Preferred AC was very quick to come out for a service call and resolve the problem. Daniel called Friday night to discuss our issue and told us what to do until he could get there Saturday. He solved the issue Saturday morning and told us since the AC was 15 years old we definitely needed to replace it as it could go at any time. We did order a new AC and scheduled the installation as soon as our work schedule permitted a week later. They arrived promptly first thing in the morning as promised and were done by around noon. Frankie and a Manny were very professional and courteous. Did a fantastic job as the unit is on the third floor so I’m sure it was harder than usual to install. Can’t thank them enough. I highly recommend Preferred AC and their prices were also very reasonable!Tuesday 7th July 2020
